Our Team

Dr. Bishop was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  She was a graduate of Northwestern University Honors Program in Medical Education in 1984 and Northwestern University Medical School in 1986.  She completed her internship and residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago in 1989.  She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She remains on staff at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She is a of Clinical Instructor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has taught pediatric residents at Lurie Children's Hospital for over 34 years. She has served on the board of the Porter County Health Department,  the AIDS Advisory Council for the Valparaiso Schools, and on the Professional Advisory Committee for Loving Care Nursing Agency.  

Dr. Bishop and her husband, Marc, have a daughter.  She has been in practice locally since joining Associated Pediatricians in 1989.
